Ingredients
2 cups E-Z-Bake Corn Meal
3/4 cup boiling water
5 tbsp. melted shortening
1 cup sour milk
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup water
1 egg
1 1/2 cups Enriched E-Z-Bake Flour
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
Directions
Pour boiling water over corn meal. Mix and add melted shortening. When cool add sour milk. Dissolve soda in water and add. Add well-beaten egg. Sift all dry ingredients together and add, beating until smooth. Turn into well greased pan 8x10 and bake 30-35 min. in hot oven (400° F).
